Hi friends! I’m Savvy, the artist behind Eye Candy 808—where I get to mash up my love for pop culture, fandoms, and creativity into something colorful and fun.
This is my happy place. A space where I get to connect with people from all over the world, through art. My biggest goal? To inspire others while I figure things out on this creative journey.
Funny enough, it all started with a single, unexpected invitation.
Back in February 2018, a good friend invited me to table with her at a local Comic Con. At first, I wasn’t sure. I hadn’t drawn anything in eight years—yep, EIGHT. I didn’t have a portfolio, and honestly, I didn’t even know where to start. But the idea wouldn’t leave me alone. I kept going back and forth, weighing all the reasons not to do it.
Finally, I decided to just go for it. The worst that could happen? I wouldn’t sell anything and I’d go back to work Monday, still alive and breathing.
But that weekend changed everything.
Spending three days surrounded by artists, fans, and pure creative energy lit something up in me. I felt alive—doing something I loved and sharing it with complete strangers who got it. I found a whole community of people just as passionate, nerdy, and creative as I was.
That leap of faith was the start of something big.
Eye Candy 808 grew from that spark—and every step since has been a mix of inspiration, growth, and learning to say yes to new possibilities. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the best things happen when you take a chance on yourself.
